The White House consists of not only the First Family’s residence, but also an East and West Wing, which contain administrative offices, and 18 acres of land that are home to a number of gardens and fountains. Tours are available of The White House since the building is considered a museum, but you actually have to request your visit through a member of Congress! Even if you opt to just experience The White House from the outside, you won’t be disappointed with a visit to this amazing piece of history.
