The Beaches
Surf’s up! We’re starting this guide to the most Instagrammable places in LA by highlighting some amazing photo spots that can be found at or near the famous beaches just outside the city. While LA is probably most well-known for its hustle and bustle and city life, there are also some beautiful beaches in the area that are definitely worth a visit. Visiting these beach towns is a great way to enjoy some fun in the sun while scoring some awesome Instagram photos as well.
Venice Beach Sign
The first LA Instagram spot we suggest visiting is the Venice Beach Sign. The sign, which hangs over a busy street only one block from the beach, marks the entrance to Venice Beach. Venice Beach is known for being a very artistic and free-spirited community, full of street performers, murals, and quirky shops. The sign that stands today is actually a replica of the original one that was first installed in 1905. Throughout the years, the sign has become a beloved landmark of the area and a top photo destination for both professional and amateur photographers.
Location: Venice Beach Sign
Hours: You can visit this photo spot any time of day.
Best Time for Photos: We recommend visiting early in the morning when there are fewer crowds and less traffic, however you can fairly easily take photos here any time of day.

This intersection completely stops traffic for about 20 seconds and pedestrians can walk in all directions. This is your chance to snap your photos!
