The Kimpton Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City is conveniently located in downtown Salt Lake City, close to Main Street, with many popular bars, restaurants, and entertainment just a short walk away. The hotel is under a fifteen minute drive from Salt Lake City International Airport.

When arriving at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City, you drive up to the covered entrance where you will be greeted by the valet. Check-in is completed in the beautiful lobby area which has a fashionable design, and plenty of seating. The building that the Kimpton Hotel Monaco occupies, has in various forms been multiple banks and hotels over the past 150+ years. The design of the hotel, rooms, and restaurants, emphasizes this history, and focuses on distinct architectural details, while maintaining all of the modern amenities expected of a Salt Lake City boutique hotel.
As we arrived during COVID-19 times, safety precautions were in place such as hand sanitizers and all of the staff were wearing face masks throughout our stay, as were most guests.
Check-in was completed quickly and easily, and we were soon off to the elevators and our assigned room.

During our stay at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City, we stayed in a Deluxe Guestroom with 1 King Bed on the top floor. The king-size bed was particularly comfortable, and the room had a grand and luxurious feeling to it. There is a desk for working, closet with bath robe and yoga mat, as well as a small bathroom with everything you need. The room also had a great view outside of downtown Salt Lake City.

Typical of a Salt Lake City boutique hotel, and the Kimpton brand, the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City offers a number of amenities that you don’t usually find at more mainstream hotels.
To stay active, not only does the Kimpton Hotel Monaco have a 24-hour fitness center available, but it also provides yoga mats in every room, so you don’t even need to leave the comfort of your room to stay active. The hotel also has complimentary bikes available for use on a first-come first-serve basis so you can get out and explore Salt Lake City and get a little bit of exercise at the same time.
In the large lobby you can also find a number of fun games ready to be played, as well as reading material, and comfortable chairs to sit and relax in.

Check on the restaurant website for opening hours before your visit. Bambara is a great place to dine any night of the week, but becomes especially busy and popular for those visiting the nearby theatre.
