Grand Hyatt Amman Location
The Grand Hyatt Amman is conveniently located in Amman, close to the main tourist sights, popular malls for shopping and dining, and is easily reachable by car. The hotel is located on the western end of an area known as Jabal Amman, which also includes the popular Rainbow Street.
The Grand Hyatt Amman is just over a 30 minute drive from Queen Alia International Airport, where all guests will arrive into Jordan.
The most popular way to get around Amman for tourists is by car, as you will most likely be visiting Amman as part of a larger trip to explore the wonders of Jordan. The hotel offers complimentary and secure valet parking. RentalCars.com is a great site to use to compare all of the different rental cars available to find the best deal in Amman.
Alternatively, taxis are also available at Amman International Airport for about 15 to 20 JOD ($21 to $28 USD), but be aware that they only accept JOD cash. The easiest way is to book a private transfer from the airport to Amman, so that you can arrive stress-free and without wasting any time.
Grand Hyatt Amman Arrival
When arriving at the Grand Hyatt Amman, you will first be greeted at the gate by security and your reservation will be confirmed before you can reach the hotel. The bellman will help you with your luggage and soon you will be in the expansive lobby ready to check-in and enjoy the hotel.
The lobby features one towering open area with glass windows that stretches many floors above, as well as a spiral staircase with a beautiful chandelier. The front desk staff will help you with the check-in formalities, and there is also a dedicated line for anyone with World of Hyatt elite status. We were quickly checked in and were then escorted to our room.
As we arrived during COVID-19 times, safety precautions were in place such as hand sanitizers and staff were wearing face masks throughout our entire stay, as were most guests except when at the pool or dining at one of the restaurants at the Grand Hyatt Amman.

Grand Hyatt Amman Rooms
The Grand Hyatt Amman is a typical city-style hotel with all rooms in the floors above the ground floor and main amenities. One of the best parts of the Grand Hyatt Amman are the stunning views from the higher floors out over Amman.
During our time at the Grand Hyatt Amman, we stayed in a King View Guest Room, located on the seventh floor. The room has a clean contemporary design. As you enter the room, there is a wardrobe on the left, and bathroom with rain shower and full tub on the right. The room was large and featured a heavenly king-size bed, sitting area, and work area. The view did not disappoint, with direct sight of the beautiful King Abdullah I mosque and hills of central Amman.
Inside the room you will also find a kettle for tea and that first coffee in the morning, as well as a mini bar, and fully stocked water bottles.
Grand Hyatt Amman Amenities
The amenities of the Grand Hyatt Amman are superior to what you would typically find in a city hotel. The lobby area features a few small shops, as well as the lobby bar, 32º North and The Lombard restaurant, and opens onto an outdoor terrace.
One floor up you will find the Zara Spa area of the Grand Hyatt Amman which features a well-equipped fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, as well as jacuzzi tubs. They also offer spa services to make sure you are fully relaxed on your trip! The outdoor pool has the same beautiful views as the rest of the hotel of the hills of Amman.

The guest rooms are located on the floors above, with varying views of the city. Due to the Grand Hyatt Amman’s location being perched on top of one of Amman’s Seven Hills, there are great views from nearly every room. Below the lobby entrance level is where you will find conference and meeting rooms, as well as the underground parking.
Grand Hyatt Amman Dining
The Grand Hyatt Amman has a few on-site dining options available for guests, with the flagship new restaurant being the stunning beautiful The Lombard, specializing in Northern Italian cuisine.
The main restaurant which is open every day for breakfast buffet, lunch, and dinner is 32º North. The morning breakfast buffet is extensive with many different options. There is a large section of Middle Eastern breakfast items, hot Western breakfast items, and a delicious spread of pastries and bread. A la carte dining is available here for lunch and dinner, and the restaurant also frequently hosts special meals for holidays or other celebrations.
The Lounge, lobby bar, is a great place to grab coffee, a drink, or light meal. Additionally, just outside is The Terrace, which is the perfect place to enjoy warm evenings in Amman. The Terrace is beautifully designed and also features a great view of the city and the beautiful King Abdullah I mosque.
The Lombard restaurant is a highlight and you should definitely plan to visit here at least once during your stay. Before you even drink or eat anything, you’re sure to be impressed by the beautiful interior design with an Italian flair and a number of different seating areas.
The alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks menu is extensive, and the food is impeccably prepared to immediately transport you to Italy. We are very critical of Italian food as creating great Italian food is one of our passions, and The Lombard exceeded our expectations in every way with standout dishes. All dishes were truly excellent, and be sure to save room for dessert! The atmosphere in the restaurant is great, and service was also excellent.
Of course, room service is also available 24 hours a day when hunger strikes at that late night hour, or you prefer to enjoy a relaxed meal in your room.
